Bundles of Joy: Prenatal Facials

Kat has been my facialist for over 4 years. I have followed her wherever she goes. She is truly the best! She has such amazing attention to detail and you will leave her treatment with glowing gorgeous skin. I wanted to interview her for my blog because I knew she would have really helpful tips on what do to when a woman’s hormones change during pregnancy resulting in either a ‘pregnancy glow’ or serious breakouts.

Q1: Tell me a little bit about yourself
Since I can remember I loved making women feel beautiful. I wanted them to own their own true beauty. My passion began as a young girl growing up in Bucharest, Romania.

I always reflect on what motivates me and inspires me every day. I live in Venice, Ca. with my dear husband Nic Neumann. When I began creating my Biotic Pure skin care line I wanted to represent dreams, aspirations, and love. For 15 years I have been dedicated to making my facials treatments the very best. I want you looking better than when you walked in. I continue researching the cutting edge treatments from all over the world, from France to London to Germany.

So many of my clients have become my best friends and therefore I continue my passion. Create with your heart and mind, and anything is possible.

Q2: Is it ok for a pregnant woman to have facials?
Love your skin when you are pregnant! When a woman is pregnant it’s the perfect time to take care of her skin. One thing I can suggest is getting a hydration facial rich in antioxidant and hyaluronic acid. It is excellent!

When a woman is pregnant her hormone estrogen levels increase, and that’s why the face looks smooth, supple and glowing. But, along the way, your acne may come back or your eczema, or melasma, known as the “mask pregnancy.” By treating it with fruit enzymes or a diamond microdermabrasion can really help all these skin problems.

Q3: What are some of the beauty products you would use on a pregnant woman?
I love using Probiotic products, avocado oil, rosehip oil, argon oil alcohol-free cleansers and toner, such as my “CoCo Honey Papaya enzyme cleanser”. It is important to be meticulously in your cleansing more than ever. I suggest a slightly richer cream in the evening. Don’t be afraid to slather serums and creams together. Your face will crave them!

Q4: How is a pregnant woman’s skin different from a woman not expecting?
Women’s skin is very different when expecting. A woman skin when she is pregnant can become itchy. In some cases, as I mentioned your acne comes back or vise versa you get acne for the first time. You can form dark spots, “melasma” and tiny red capillaries.

Key ingredients to remember for tummy stretch marks are, Vitamin E, (d-alpha tocopherol) rosehip seed oil. Massage twice daily. Promise it will work miracles on your tummy!!!

Q5: What is the benefit of the woman’s placenta when it comes to skincare?
Preserving your own Placenta in capsules has been in practice in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. In many cultures, the placenta is considered the tree of life and indeed it is!
This is why; 1, balances hormones 2. Increases milk supply 3.combat fatigue 4. Increase energy 5. Recover more quickly from childbirth 6. Increase postnatal iron levels. 7. Anti-aging.
Make sure to tell your doctor ahead of time to make sure the hospital is aware of you keeping it. On the web there are experts and they will pick it up from the hospital and get the capsules back to you in a couple of days.

Q6: Do you have any at home beauty/skin care tips for a pregnant woman? (I.E, milk facial, honey, anything a woman could do at home)

At home DIY facials

Beauty tips- love yourself fully and remember what a prize it is to be a mommy!! Oh yes and hydrate!

Q7: What’s your beauty secret?
My beauty secret is live your life to the fullest and believe in your beauty! Master all your bad habits then you can release them.

Q8: Tell us about your new product line
I created Kat Rudu Beauty because I believe you can use a biotic, pure line and still be effective and luxuries. You can use my line in junction with your other favorites. My line is environmentally friendly. All my products are in the glass with the highest-grade ingredients. Especially if you are pregnant you want to look for plant stem cells extracts and pure oils. I love the divine scent of cocoa, pure vanilla, grapefruit, peppermint, black musk and rose, which I added to my skin collection. Hyaluronic acid, Aloe Vera, Peptides and fruit enzymes play a big role in my products. My products are excellent for skin sagging, wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and makes the complexion radiant and even.
